Is it safe to use oil pastels as eyeshadow?

You do realize that when oil pastels get on your clothes, your clothes are ruined forever? cant be good for your skin and i cant imagine how hard it must be to remove. I remember, my art studio teacher told us that if we got any oil pastels on her clothes, she said she will flunk us. Its a very messy medium and many of the pigments are hazardous which cant be good for the eye area which is extremely sensitive. and being that they are oil based, they WILL be comedogenic. I am also aware that certain pigments used are toxic as well. Getting it on the thicker skin of your hand is one thing. Getting it on the sensitive area around the eye is another. Dont get me started on oil paints. Those are the worst.
