Why does my cmos always restores default settings after every cold boot?

Just replace your CMOS battery and everything would be OK. It is a CR-2032 Lithium cell that looks like a silver coin. Some Camera stores have them. They are cheap. Bought a pack containing 2 pcs. last week for about $0.75.
