Simple, delicious, impressive dessert recipe?

Strawberry shortcake is easy and unexpected. You can use the premade angel food shells sold in the produce department or you could use pound cake to make it more decadent. Fresh strawberries and a little sugar you can mix ahead of time til right before serving. You could also use frozen berries with syrup or bagged frozen berries. Top each one with whipped cream or you could serve it with the whole cake and all the strawberries on the platter and dollops of whipped cream. If you wanted to get really creative you could drizzle chocolate syrup over the top and I think I would OOH and AHH! Easy. pretty, light and tasty!
